Insinkerator.
Eh what?! We have never seen this in EU but it is very VERY handy. You can throw away your foodscrapes in the sink and this grinds it before sending it into sewage. We've seen it in city houses where foodscrapes are not done but most handy was at places with bears around where you simply cannot make any compost of your own. Prices vary between $100-$300 |

Dorien really needed new boots and came across this brand. They are GREAT. When being outdoors for hours the nr1 requirement for winterboots is to keep your feet warm below 0 F or C temperatures. They are not slippery on rocks and very easy to put on or take off.

We like the fact that Americans have 2 shower curtains! 1 regular plastic one inside the bath and 1 hanging outside. When the outside one is made from textile it looks real pretty!
But even then there is water dripping to the floor. These splash guards were the easiest. $16 |
